Ham and Cheese Breakfast Burritos: The Morning Hero You Didn’t Know You Needed

Raise your hand if your morning routine involves hitting the snooze button, tripping over a pet, and then realizing breakfast is a concept—not a reality. Fear not, sleepy human! These ham and cheese breakfast burritos are here to save your day (and your growling stomach). They’re faster to make than your coffee machine, and they taste like a high-five from your taste buds. Let’s turn that “ugh” into “om nom.”

Ingredients (Serves 4):

Instructions:

  1. Scramble Like You Mean It
Crack eggs into a bowl. Add milk, salt, and pepper. Whisk until mixed. Pour into a greased pan over medium heat. Stir gently until eggs look fluffy and cooked. Remove from pan.
  2. Ham Time
Toss diced ham (and bell pepper, if using) into the same pan. Cook for 2 minutes, just until warm. Imagine the ham waving “hello” to your eggs.
  3. Cheese Party
Add scrambled eggs back to the pan with ham. Sprinkle cheese on top. Stir until cheese melts. Congrats—you’ve made the burrito’s heart and soul.
  4. Wrap It Up
Warm tortillas in a dry pan for 10 seconds (so they don’t crack). Spoon filling into the center of each tortilla. Fold sides inward, then roll tightly. Pretend you’re tucking in a tiny edible baby.
  5. Serve or Save
Eat immediately, or wrap burritos in foil for later. Pro tip: Label them “MINE” to avoid household thieves.

Bonus Tips:

Why This Works:

These burritos balance protein, carbs, and cheese—the holy trinity of morning survival. They’re customizable (add spinach, onions, etc.), portable, and faster than convincing a toddler to put on pants. Plus, they taste good cold. We’ve all been there.

Go forth and conquer your day, one cheesy, ham-stuffed bite at a time. And remember: Coffee is still required. The burrito can’t do everything. 😉
